About the club
*Xcellona FC - More Than A Club, A Revolution.* Xcellona Football Club is a community club from Kiriko, Malaba South Ward, Busia county in the Kenya-Uganda border, founded in 2024 by 11 friends with one ball and a big dream. The name Xcellona means Excellence + Barcelona. The X stands for the Unknown Factor - the underdog talent from the border that the world hasn't seen yet. Nicknamed *The X-Men / The xcellents*, we started on a dusty field with no kits, borrowing boots. Today we have U15, U17 boys and Senior Girls team, training three times a week. Our mission is simple: develop raw Busia talent into professionals, keep youth in school through football, and put Busia County on the Kenyan map. We are a young group of people, but we have the biggest heart. We play with purpose.
