About the club
"What began in 2010 as casual kickabouts on a church open space in Rongai soon attracted local youth hungry for purpose. By 2011, what was once informal recreation had evolved into a competitive outfit. Two distinct groups Restoration and Deportivo merged with a smaller side called Atlanta in 2019 to form Rongai Sports Club FC, uniting fragmented talent under one identity. For six consecutive seasons, the club has competed in Kenya's 5th-tier Regional League, surviving where 70% of grassroots clubs fold. Despite financial struggles and long-distance travel across three different zones; Eastern, Lower Eastern, and now Nairobi West, the club achieved a best-ever 4th place finish, just one position shy of promotion to Division 2. Run by three founders who have shouldered over 70% of the club's budget through personal sacrifice, Rongai Sports Club now stands at a turning point, ready to professionalize, revive its youth system, and finally ascend."
