About the club

Marafiki Football Club was founded in 2019 as friends met on Sundays for a kind of park and chill. One came with a Football and one offered to buy uniforms. It was formed as a veterans team. We played several wazee games and decided to start incorporating the younger boys from the ghetto and other places into the team. Finally we had a youth team. We registered for the Nyeri county league, where we finished top. Covid struck and had to pause the league. We did alot of work for our players and their families to make sure they are fed through those tough times. This was possible through well wishers contributions. After resuming, we proceeded to the regionals where due to another level of competition now we had to get more talent from other parts of the country. That's when Marafiki fc got It's national face. We also played for a season and qualified for Division II. We played in Division II for three seasons and managed to secure a top spot in our group, to qualify for the play offs on our fourth season. We won and were get into the National Division 1 where we are up to now. We just completed our second season there. Our ambition is to play in the Kenya Premier league one day.
